WEEK 10

                 Week 10 has come by and this week is our week for our fundraising selling, helping up to sell the PPOC handcraft. Taking a flight straight back from Penang hospital in the morning and meeting up with group members. We have separated with the group members while some will be coming on Saturday and some on Sunday. On the Sunday morning after busy setting up our booth for fundraising we decided to keep our personal belongings and the left over bags under the table.

    We came early and I successfully reach around 9.15am.

   We have variety of products for selling. 
Those are very beautiful and creative.





Our booth are located in-front of the shop named TIMEPIECE.



So happy to get supported from friends, after sharing "Totes for Fund" in social media.

Here are our profit that we have successfully made for 2 days.

We had a group photo before we packing our booth. It was a perfect experience while meeting different types of customer and dealing with the management people. I enjoy community service a lot .

Once again, thank you Ms Noorseah for guiding us throughout journey in the class of 
Community Service Initiative.

WEEK 9

                 Week 9 was our activity week. We have printed out some stickers while preparing for the coming booth product selling which is next week. On the below showing the sticker which has been design and printed. Our final decision are fold the product and stick the product together with the sticker when any purchase from the customer. It would be more easy and looking good.

                 We have book the place in Amcorp Mall which is 5th and 6th of November. Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. The product that we will selling are hand towels, variety of pouch and hand bags with different sizes,



                 From this week on, I felt everyday in the morning when I open my eye and days are not welcoming anymore. I had a news that Daddy is having Bipolar Disorder in the past few months and this week, Mom has admitted to the hospital while the final report has been recorded that it is Pancreatic Cancer after so much of blood test, CT and PAD scan, I am the only daughter in the family, Mom is always my best friend my hero and my everything in life. I cant imagine that mom will leave me when I am in this age.

                 Doctor Nelly told me personally that mom's condition is very serious. Timeline for one year would be consider very good already. I have learnt a lot in this week. There are a lot of huge responsible and choices need to be made. Watching daddy separating mummy as he is having some psychiatric problem. It would be not a good one but its the best for mummy as she could have a peace of mind while receiving treatment. The operation cant be made as the cancer has been spread to her other organs as mummy is in her stage 4.

                I have made a decision to continue my study as I knows that is what mom and daddy wanted me to. I want mummy to see me graduated. I learnt that live are tough but it is needed to go trough. Years are always not getting better, as we needed to treasure every single days in our life with the person that we have been met with. While living in this broken world we need to understand that God has planed every single path of our life before we have been created.

               While doing Chemo, while having Bipolar drugs. Every medicine are drugs and it do have side effects. It is important to know what is the life meaning and purpose of our single self. I do feel bless and thinking of those homeless people that are having sickness, they will mostly have hardship for curing. I am so bless to have such a supportive family. I was in a period of not knowing what to do but just pray. Here comes with the video which I have been recreated and recompose.

WEEK 8

                 Week 8 has come by, there are slides to be show for presentation on this week. Mr Ridzuan told me that table cloth are not provided. As after some discussion I have decided to use dark red colour cloth for our booth. Fauza, our group member was in-charge of purchasing the cloth in a shop named Kamdar.

WEEK 7

                 Week 7 has come by, so as I was in-charge for dealing with our booth location. I was calling for another few option while our group members are deciding.

In this weekdays morning, I have decided to give a call for the Event Management department and find out more info about it. Below are the person in-chanrge and some information for our booth.

                As the proposal has been emailed and after some discussion with my group member. We have decided to sign up with Amcorp Mall for the booth as it is more reasonable in price. 
(RM80 for 2 days in the Flea Market)- Saturday and Sunday

After having an appointment with Mr Ridzuan, I went to Menara Amcorp and sign up some document for the booth.


Menara Amcorp is located at the right side of the Amcorp Mall as the management office are located at this building.


A view from the building. It is good that Amcorp Mall has a huge parking area and it is reasonable in price. Mr Ridzuan extra advice me to park the car inside the building as it is cheaper in price and convenient. But sadly I traveled by Grabcar and it cost me a huge amount.

Their working hour is from Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm, 
It is located at 3A floor.

Before going back I have some exploration on the mall itself. I have notice that level LG and level 4 are more people as mostly are office workers as there are a few restaurant at that floor level.

WEEK 6

                 It was week 6, a day and a day is passing by. While having some discussion with group member on where is our location to choose for our fundraising booth. As I have make a suggestion on Jaya One which after getting information from some friends. Jaya One shopping mall is a good area for fundraising and they support a lot of arts exhibition.

                On the other hand, I have also went to The Curlve to get some information about the booth. The receptionist gave me the contact number of the person in-charge of event which is Mis Caryn Ong. I went to the office to approach her but sadly she went for an outside meeting. 

                 The receptionist in the office told me that I have to make appointment with Mis Caryn Ong while I am still discussing with our group member. As the majority of our group member prefer to organize our booth in Amcorp Mall.


                 Furthermore, I have contacted with Mr Saif the person in-charge of event in Publika as I am still waiting for his reply. After updated our group member. 70% of chances are mostly to be organize in Amcorp Mall as after having a visitation on this coming Saturday in the Amcorp Mall Flea Market and will contact with Mr Ridzuan soon. Just hoping that everything will going up well.

                 Last but not least, our lecturer has teaches us how to use Adobe Premier Pro which makes me very excited. It was fun and creative for our video production. In my opinion as Adobe Premier Pro is a very cool software. There are example of layers in Photoshop for Premier Pro while getting the video to edit and produce well. I have also designed some packaging for our selling products as we are mostly selling bags and handkerchief. Here are some idea on my packaging design for the bags to be sell while exhibiting the product. 


1) Fold the bags
2) Wrap it with a lining of white paper
3) Having a black ribbon or logo of our "TORTES FOR FUND" above.

                 As this is due to most of the bags are in colorful printing. There should be some spaces of colours around to present the product well. After exhibiting the product, we will give every buyer a white plastic bag as its simple and awesome. To be conclude with a simple message for every disability person "While in the minute you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on so long". Do not giving up in a simple manner as getting back to the beginning is not an easy journey.




                 



WEEK 5


                 Its week 5 and time was passing so quickly. As while my group leader has told us in the wassapp group that there are some problems with Publika. The person in-charge do not reply our emails and suddenly someone from Publika told my group leader that Publika has been fully book.


                 I took a Grabcar and planning to go to Publika alone on this weekdays as some of my classmate are having classes. It tooks me around Rm24 for reaching Publika from Subang jaya with Grabcar. At first, I was investigating the surroundings as morning there are less people will hangout in Publika and those rental do looks expensive. There are some housewife will hang around for some fashion shopping and grocery while mostly are workers in the building of Publika. I went straight to the reception and explain about our subject problem while needed a kiosk space for selling our art funding products from the disability. As the reception are very friendly, she gave me some contacts and ask me to contact the event space management team which are Atiqa and Saif, As I print an hard copy of proposal and went to the event management office in Publika. I was told from the office receptionist Sue that the whole team has went out for meeting. I asked for Mr Saif personal contact number and do received a name card from Mis Sue.

             As after I get the name card I contacted Mr Saif and finally get to talk with him. I feels so happy because I was asking one by one around my friends for people that knows the event management people in Publika or someone could help us out. While chatting with Mr Saif, he told me that he was in the meeting and ask me that do not have high expectation on it because it is very limited for this month event while he told me that he is having full time meeting very busy. So he ask me to email him the proposal. I went back to the office ask Mis Sue to put the hard copy proposal to Mr Saif table while also emailed and wassapp Mr Saif about the proposal. Sadly that, he still did not give any reply. So I edited the proposal and straight away went to Amcorp Mall with Grabcar which took me around Rm19 from Publika to Amcorp mall. I have contacted the person in-charge of Amcorp mall before arrive the destination and has make the appointment with the person in-charge of Amcorp mall to meet at 2pm. His name is Encik Azman. I got his number from contacting the receptionist few days ago.

                 I feel so happy because Encik Azman is a very helpful and nice person. The receptionist told me that Encik Azman is the head and he in-charge of the whole building. Its very joyful that getting to talk with the right person. I extra printed another set and printing in Publika its so expensive it tooks me around RM 24 for one set of proposal. As one pieces of colour A4 is RM 2.40 but sadly i lost the receipt. 

As I am changing the proposal name I was thinking that Amcorp Mall will be much better and more people compare with Publika, The Boulevard.



                 Finally I get to meet up with Encik Azman as I straight went to the office next door to search for him in level 3. He called me to wait in the mall reception. I was introducing me to him and explain to him about our project brief. While looking at my hard copy proposal he straight away approve. He said that we need to pay before book as for 2 days which are Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm is the flea market indoor which causes only Rm80 for two days. It is available for Lower Ground Floor, level 1, 2 and 3. While having the Ground floor level booth it is going to be Rm100 per day which maximum needed 3 days which are Friday. Saturday and Sunday. It is available from 10am to 10pm. As I notice that for having the booth in Ground Floor level would be very hot in the evening as there are no air-conditioner around the entrance. Besides, the shoppers will just enter in and out trough the entrance. As this will lower up the market selling for our product while it is more expensive. 

                 Encik Azman bring me to his office meeting room and hand me to his worker Mr Ridzuan. Mr Ridzuan was also a nice and friendly man. He brief me a lot about the booth and told me that do not park the car outside as it would be very expensive. 


                 Mr Ridzuan talks to me a lot on the terms and condition as we are needed to bring our own dark colour table cloth. Examples of dark red, dark blue and black. They are going to provide us one normal wood and metal table, and one chair. If we are needed for power supply it will be depends on our booth chosen as first come first serve. He gave me to see the layout plan but not apply me to took a picture on it. I told Mr Ridzuan that I will get back to him as soon as possible as need to be discuss with my group member. Finally a day is a over and was happy with the results. Was hanging over for some investigation as 3rd floor would be more people due to a lot of restaurant are located at 3rd floor.





WEEK 4

                 Its week 4 as time has passes. Dealing with disability people needs a lot of effort and patient. Skills are always needed while caring a person or a a community. The art of volunteering are always the most beautiful language. Holistic awareness are important, its always more to interpersonal community between one another.

                 Through my personal journey of Week 4, I have notice that a lot of people living in the life of unhappiness. Sometimes we do have too much but its always not satisfying. A simple life of a disability people while they do not complain and they do always satisfy with what they have. There are more to needed on compression and courage and it cant be work it out trough talking but by action.



                 After separating out our work and working with our proposal. Our proposal are finally complete. We are having a meet up and discussion to the person in-charge of PPOC on Saturday.                  It was sadly for last minute I could not attend to the PPOC as some emergency had happen. My mom is having some health issue while she is alone in the house. I need to took a night shift bus back to my hometown. There always a lot of concern in disability as my dad having an accident 10 years ago while he broke his spinal chord. It was not an easy days as they mostly feels very low and much of depression while in a bad tempered. Trough my opinion, PPOC are always a places of hope for the disability as it is important for the nation to always support on their products while they put their best effort for working on.

                 Sometimes while having the life together in public, I saw a lot of people working out trough hardship. While on my way to the bus stop from Subang Jaya for my destination to Publika KL wishing to have some talk with the person in-charge as we needed a space for selling our art products. I saw a curly hair female lady as in the age of 40's and she squat down while collecting an empty can drinks in front of me. While having a huge plastic bags with her two hands on. I was wondering as that was a rubbish as she is going to recycle or to throw it. As my heart was popping so fast that she works so hard for living if it was a can for recycle. I saw her on the way to the LRT escalator as i chase on her and gave her a little gift of Rm50. Her smile was the most wonderful smile I ever saw. She reply to me so good of you and gave me a little hug. Before I said goodbye to her, she took out a packed of chips and gave it to me from her huge plastic bag. 

                 I can imagine that every woman in the world always wanted to be beautiful and those woman are staying strong when having some difficulties for living in the world. Giving a little rewards to the difficult peoples are always the best gift ever as not forgotten about the disability people. Besides, those words and greetings that we received from the disability people are the most powerful strength in our life.

After having a day trip to Publika and reaching around 3pm in the afternoon it was sad that the person in-charge went out for meetings. I decided to come earlier in my next meet up with the person who in-charge with events.
